Consumers are still going out: But some are feeling the financial strain

According to Feed it Back’s latest ‘Economic Outlook’ report, 58% of consumers reported that they are going out at about the same frequency as they were six months ago.

However, a third reported going out less often, with 35-54-year-olds cutting back the most while the 55-plus age group is still eating and drinking out in large numbers.

Feed it Back, the consumer insights business, surveyed 3,186 consumers in July, looking at consumer attitudes toward going out during this cost-of-living crisis.

Generation Z proved to be the most polarised group with 32% of 18-24-year-olds going out less often, but 10% reporting going out more often.

For a detailed breakdown of these behaviours by age group, please download the report here.
